The trailhead to the Fall Creek Falls starts at a small pullout off the side of the road. Follow the unmarked trail downhill, across a open meadow with the awesome view of Montana’s Eastern Range of the Rocky Mountains, through a patch of Douglas Fir, to a steep-walled canyon. By then sound of the falls is near, walking upstream along the steep cliff edge you will see this stupendous waterfall dropping off a rock ledge into beautiful turquoise pool. |

From Augusta drive southwest on Montana Secondary 435 for 14 miles to Dearborn Canyon Road. Turn west, looking at the magnificent "Eastern Front" of the Rocky Mountains, 7 miles to a public access road on a section of the Diamond Bar X ranch. Turn left on the road, at .1 of mile is a fork which you go straight and at .6 of a mile another fork which you stay right, a couple hundreds yards further to the end. The road is gated off, but there is two pull offs in which to park and walk to the falls. |
