From Troy drive west on US Highway 2, paralleling along the awesome Kootenai River, 14 miles to the Yaak River Road. Turn north on Montana State Highway (Yaak River Road) 6 miles to Yaak River Campground. |

Yaak Falls are named after the Yaak Indian tribe who once populated this remote part of Montana. The ancient expose rock is dated somewhere between 850 million and 1.5 billion years old.

Yaak Falls Campground is a really sweet little pack-in pack-out campground that is nestled in a natural conifer forest setting. There are seven campsites with a maximum stay of 14 days. There are toilets, no drinking water available and no camping fees.
