Waterfalls of Montana is a father and son partnership based in Helena Montana.
Being fourth and third generation Montanan’s, this land and its majestic rivers runs in our blood. We started out as hikers, rafters and kayakers and eventually decided to share our findings. Nathan pioneered many of Montana’s steep creeks by kayak in the mid eighties to the late nineties. Many of the lesser known waterfalls in this guide Nathan kayaked and wrote about them during that time period. Larry has spent much of his life blissfully exploring the mountains, rivers and prairies of Montana and continues to do so to this day. He has taken a majority of the photographs on our website.
